According to Chinese Medicine, poor circulation and nutrition levels along with body accumulating toxins and coldness in the uterus can damage the 3 layers of Uterus affecting the pregnancy. Poor functioning of the uterus can also lead to infertility.

3. Reduce caffeine intake

We all love a bit of caffeine now and again however consuming large amounts of caffeine daily can increase estrogen production and increase chances of uterine fibroids according to studies published.

4. Moderate exercise

It is encouraged to carry out mindful exercises such as yoga, walking or tai chi. Exercise promotes blood circulation and strengthens muscles especially around the uterus. However, it is very important to note that excessive and hard exercise can cause damage so only slow and mindful exercise is encouraged.

5. Relax and reduce stress

We all experience stress in our day to day life, stress can occurs from work pressure, society, environment and family relationships however, when this stress interferes with body’s abilities it is recommended to seek help and get to the bottom of the root cause. Stress is commonly accompanied with anxiety, insomnia, headache, fatigue and other symptoms.

Stress can lead to irregular periods that includes short periods cycle, or delayed periods cycle, or in some cases missing periods. Irregular period means a women will not be ovulating regularly. Ovulation is the process that happens once during menstrual cycle in which hormones change and release an egg. A women can only become pregnant if a sperm fertilises an egg, when an egg is failed to release as a result of irregular period due to stress, infertility is experienced.

6. Keep Uterus Warm

Body temperature is a very important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yang is the warming energy which also supports proper hormonal response in order to help facilitate reproduction.

In Chinese Medicine body temperature plays a very important part especially when it comes to fertility. In simple words, a cold uterus simply does not have the desired temperature for an embryo to flourish. Lack of warmth and the cold conditions in the uterus means that the follicles may not ripen. Even if the maturation of the ovarian follicle does take place there is a high chance that your body may not be able to ovulate properly without the warmth, resulting in failing to conceive.
